Awin is an affiliate marketing network that connects publishers with advertisers. Publishers use the platform to apply to advertiser programs, create affiliate promotions, track transactions, and receive eligible commission payments.

This independent guide is not affiliated with or operated by Awin.

The quickest way to solve an Awin account problem is to identify the exact stage involved. Logging in, receiving network approval, joining an advertiser program, and getting paid are four different processes. A delay at one stage does not necessarily indicate a problem with the entire account.

What is Awin?

Awin provides the network and technology used to connect advertisers with publishers. An advertiser offers a commission for qualifying activity, while a publisher promotes that advertiser through an accepted website, social channel, newsletter, comparison service, or another approved method.

A publisher can review performance and transaction information through the Awin platform. The account may also provide access to advertiser discovery, tracking-link tools, payment settings, and program communications.

One point causes repeated confusion: an approved Awin account does not automatically include approval from every advertiser.

Network access comes first. Program acceptance comes later.

Use the correct Awin login route

Awin’s platform login currently asks users to enter the email address connected to their account. Awin’s own website should be used as the starting point when a saved bookmark, search result, or old tutorial leads somewhere unexpected.

Do not confuse the working platform with Awin’s Partner Success Center. The Success Center contains help articles covering account access, advertiser partnerships, payments, and technical problems. It is primarily a support resource rather than the publisher reporting dashboard.

Check the page before entering anything. An independent article may explain Awin without providing access to an Awin account.

Use Awin’s own login page for account actions. Skip third-party pages that claim they can reactivate an account, release commission, or bypass Awin’s review process.

Why an Awin login or password reset fails

Awin’s login troubleshooting guidance tells users to confirm that they are entering the email address used during registration. It also recommends locating the original Awin approval email when the correct address is uncertain and checking the spam folder for a password-reset message.

That gives you a practical order:

  1. Confirm the registered email address.
  2. Request a reset through Awin’s login process.
  3. Check spam and filtered folders.
  4. Try a private browser window or another current browser.
  5. Clear Awin cookies and cached site data if the page loops.

Awin also recommends changing the browser or device when technical problems prevent signup. Those steps can help distinguish a browser-session problem from an account-record problem.

Stop after one careful pass. Repeatedly requesting reset messages can leave several links in the inbox, and an older link may no longer be the useful one.

A separate complication applies to some former ShareASale users. Awin’s migration guidance says a person who has never logged into Awin and receives no password-reset email may have an account that has not yet been activated.

Activation and password recovery are different fixes.

How Awin publisher signup works

New publishers complete Awin’s registration and compliance process before receiving normal network access. The application should describe the applicant, promotional channel, and intended method accurately enough for review.

Awin’s US FAQ currently states that publishers provide a $1 joining deposit. It says the deposit is reimbursed through the publisher account after the first payment threshold is reached.

This is a deposit, not a promise of approval or earnings.

An advertiser may provide an invitation code to a particular publisher. Awin says such a code can bypass the normal signup fee, but it is issued by advertisers wishing to invite specific publishers into their program. It is not a public discount code.

Registration terms can vary by region. Use the conditions displayed in the application being completed rather than relying on a fee quoted for another market.

What to do when signup will not complete

Awin’s signup troubleshooting documentation suggests trying another browser or device, using an incognito or private window, and clearing cookies and cache. It also addresses situations in which an applicant cannot find the required country in the form.

Before retrying, inspect every required field. A form may appear unresponsive because a selection, declaration, or confirmation lower on the page remains incomplete.

Avoid submitting several registrations with different email addresses. Duplicate applications can divide correspondence and make it harder to identify which account is being reviewed.

Use one accurate application. Fix the actual obstruction.

Awin account approval versus advertiser approval

Awin account approval gives a publisher access to the network. The publisher must then apply to individual advertiser programs.

A program can remain pending while an advertiser reviews the publisher’s channel and proposed promotional method. The advertiser may accept or decline the relationship independently of Awin’s original network decision.

Awin provides advertiser contact information through the publisher dashboard. Its documented route is Advertisers > Join Program, followed by the relevant program page and its Account Users section. Publishers may then use the listed contact information or the available email option.

Contact the advertiser only when there is a useful, specific question. A short explanation of the publisher’s audience and promotional method is more helpful than repeated requests asking why approval has not happened.

Program fit comes first. Skip unrelated applications.

Two-step verification and account security

Awin supports two-step verification through an authenticator application. Its instructions direct users to open the user menu, select Security, and begin the setup through a verification email. The authenticator then produces a six-digit passcode, and Awin displays a recovery code during setup.

Save the recovery code in a secure location separate from the device running the authenticator.

It matters.

Awin says the recovery code can be used to regain account access if the authenticator application becomes unavailable.

Never provide a one-time code or recovery code to someone offering account assistance. Legitimate support can investigate an account issue without receiving the code that completes authentication.

Where payment details are managed

Awin’s payment instructions place publisher banking and payment preferences under Account > Payment Details. The Bank Details area includes payment frequency and payment-threshold settings.

Awin says accurate tax and bank information is required to receive payments. Its current documentation notes that payment settings may include bank information, payment method, preferences, and threshold, while tax settings cover tax residency, classification, identification details, and required verification documents.

Only the account owner can change certain payment information. Account ownership itself cannot simply be reassigned through ordinary user permissions; Awin says ownership changes must be handled by its team and may require supporting documents.

Do not create another account to change the legal owner. Use Awin’s support route.

Awin’s minimum payment threshold

Awin’s documented minimum thresholds are:

CurrencyMinimum threshold
US dollars$20
British pounds£20
Euros€20
Other currenciesEquivalent of $20

Publishers can select a higher threshold. Payment is not triggered merely because the account passes Awin’s lowest available amount; the payable balance must reach the threshold actually saved in that account.

Suppose a publisher selects $100. A payable balance of $72 would carry forward even though Awin’s minimum USD option is $20.

Awin says the balance must reach the selected threshold by either the 15th or the final day of the month. If it does not, the amount rolls into the next payment cycle.

Why approved commission may remain unpaid

Awin distinguishes transaction approval from payable status.

Its payment troubleshooting guidance says commission marked Approved has been reviewed by the advertiser but is not yet payable. This commonly means Awin has not received the corresponding payment from the advertiser.

That is a concrete dependency. The advertiser validates the transaction, but funding must also reach Awin before the commission moves further through the publisher-payment process.

Awin uses an advertiser traffic-light status to help publishers identify possible advertiser payment delays.

Check that status first. Changing a bank account cannot accelerate advertiser funding.

A transaction may also be pending, declined, approved, cleared, or included in a completed payment depending on where it sits in the process. Awin’s transaction-status guidance is designed to explain those stages and show what may be delaying earnings.

When does Awin pay publishers?

Awin currently says it processes publisher payments twice each month, on the 1st and 15th. Publishers can choose monthly payment instead and view upcoming and previous payments in the platform.

The payment date depends on more than the sale date. The relevant commission must be approved, funded by the advertiser, payable, and above the account’s selected threshold.

Awin’s older payment training describes the same sequence: once the advertiser pays Awin, the transaction becomes cleared, and the publisher is paid on the next applicable payment day, subject to the selected frequency and threshold.

Processing and bank posting are not identical. Awin’s regional publisher-payment guidance says transfers can take roughly three to five days to clear into a publisher’s bank account, though timing varies by payment method and region.

How to investigate a missing payment

Start with the status inside Awin, not the bank.

Check whether the earnings are merely approved or have become payable. Compare the payable balance with the threshold saved in the account. Then inspect payment history for an upcoming or completed payment and any available self-billing invoice.

Review these items in order:

  • Transaction status
  • Advertiser payment status
  • Payable balance
  • Selected threshold
  • Payment frequency
  • Tax and bank details
  • Payment history

Incomplete payment information can cause delays. Awin specifically advises keeping all required fields and documents current, including applicable tax or VAT information.

Contact Awin support after the account shows that the payment was processed and the normal bank-clearance period has passed.

How much does Awin publisher signup cost in the US?

Awin’s US FAQ currently describes a $1 joining deposit, reimbursed after the publisher reaches the first payment threshold.

Why am I not receiving a password-reset email?

Awin lists payment processing on the 1st and 15th, subject to status, funding, threshold, and account requirements.

Can I change the Awin account owner myself?

No. Awin handles ownership changes for security reasons and may request documentation proving ownership.
