Awin is an affiliate marketing platform where publishers connect with advertisers, create trackable promotions, and review commission activity. Existing users sign in through Awin’s platform, which currently begins with an Email address field and a Continue button.
This independent guide is not affiliated with or operated by Awin.
A visible transaction is not automatically a payable transaction. The advertiser may still need to validate it, Awin may still be waiting for advertiser funding, or the payable balance may be below the threshold selected in the publisher account.
What Awin does
Awin operates an affiliate and partner marketing network connecting advertisers with publishers. Publishers may include content creators, influencers, editorial businesses, shopping services, and other partners that promote participating advertisers.
The platform records attributed transactions and provides tools for reporting and publisher payments. It does not place every publisher into every advertiser program, and it does not make every recorded transaction payable immediately.
There are several checkpoints:
- Publisher account access
- Advertiser-program membership
- Transaction tracking
- Advertiser validation
- Payable commission
- Processed payment
Troubleshoot the last confirmed checkpoint first. Skip banking changes when the transaction itself is still pending.
Use the correct Awin sign-in page
Awin’s current sign-in page is hosted at ui.awin.com. It requests an email address before continuing and provides a separate route for new users.
Begin from Awin’s own website or enter the platform domain carefully. An independent article may explain Awin, but it cannot provide account access, change a transaction status, or release a publisher payment.
Awin’s Partner Success Center is another system. It contains articles about publisher accounts, reporting, tracking, and payments. The operational platform is where publishers view their own advertiser relationships and account records.
Two tabs can look similar. Check the domain.
Use the platform for account work. Use the Success Center when you need to interpret a report, field, or status.
Check advertiser membership before tracking
An active Awin login does not necessarily mean the publisher has permission to promote a particular advertiser. Advertiser programs maintain their own publisher relationships and approval processes.
Before investigating a missing transaction, confirm that the account had joined the relevant advertiser program when the promotion occurred. Then verify that the tracking link belonged to the correct publisher account and advertiser.
This order matters because a banking or threshold setting cannot repair a promotion that was not correctly connected to an advertiser relationship.
Prioritize membership and tracking first. Skip payment troubleshooting until the transaction appears in reporting.
Find the transaction in the report
Awin’s Publisher Transaction Report can be used to review transaction and payment status, transaction type, advertiser information, and individual order data. The older Partner Success Center route places it under Reports > Transactions.
Awin’s updated March 2026 documentation says the Transactions report covers transactions of any status. It can be filtered by pending, declined, or approved status, partner, timeframe, and transaction type such as sale, lead, or bonus.
Start narrowly:
- Select the relevant date range.
- Filter for the advertiser.
- Check the transaction type.
- Search the order reference when available.
- Review the current status.
This is more reliable than comparing an estimated commission total with a bank deposit. One report may contain transactions at several different stages.
Awin also lets publishers find transactions included in a specific completed payment by selecting Paid – Payment sent and searching the report.
Pending means advertiser review is incomplete
Awin defines Pending review as a transaction that has been tracked and is awaiting validation by the advertiser.
Transaction approval timing varies among advertisers. Awin lets publishers review an advertiser’s average validation time through Advertisers > My programmes, followed by the relevant program’s performance information. Its documentation also identifies an Auto Validation Period within the program summary.
That is a useful account-level check. It replaces guesswork with the advertiser’s recorded validation behavior.
A transaction recorded yesterday may be operating normally even though it remains pending. Another transaction from a different advertiser may move faster because the programs use different validation periods.
Do not contact the bank about a pending transaction. The money has not reached the bank-transfer stage.
Approved does not mean ready to pay
Awin separates Approved from Payable.
An approved transaction has been reviewed and accepted by the advertiser, but its commission is not ready to be paid yet. A payable transaction has reached the stage where it can be included in the next payment run.
Small label, major difference.
Awin’s payment training explains that a transaction is marked cleared after the advertiser pays Awin. The publisher can then be paid on the next applicable payment day, provided the selected payment frequency and threshold conditions are met.
This creates a period when commission is valid but not yet payable. Changing the publisher’s bank information cannot accelerate advertiser funding.
Check status first. Skip account edits unless the payment setup is genuinely incomplete or incorrect.
Review the advertiser’s validation period
Awin’s platform provides advertiser-specific information rather than one universal transaction-approval deadline.
The documented path is:
Advertisers > My programmes > select advertiser > Performance
Awin says the performance page displays the validation period. Another version of the instructions places the Auto Validation Period under the advertiser program’s Summary information.
Use the period as context, not a promise that every transaction will be approved on the final day. Returns, cancellations, transaction amendments, and advertiser review practices may affect individual records.
Timing varies by advertiser and sector. Awin’s UK FAQ also states that advertisers review and validate transactions according to timelines that differ by advertiser and sector.
A transaction that exceeds the displayed period deserves closer review. A transaction that remains within it may simply be progressing normally.
Check the payment threshold saved in the account
Awin’s current minimum payment thresholds are:
| Currency | Minimum threshold |
|---|---|
| USD | $20 |
| GBP | £20 |
| EUR | €20 |
| Other currencies | Equivalent of $20 |
The publisher may choose a higher amount. Awin’s publisher-training material confirms that the network minimum is $20 for USD accounts but allows publishers to set a higher threshold.
Consider a US account with a selected threshold of $125. A payable balance of $84 would remain below that account’s threshold, even though Awin permits a $20 minimum.
The saved setting controls the payment cycle.
Review the actual threshold shown in the publisher account. Do not rely only on the minimum displayed in a search result or general help article.
See what will be included in the next payment
Awin provides instructions for viewing transactions expected to appear in the next publisher payment through the Transaction Report.
This report is useful when the payable total and expected commission do not match. Rather than assuming an amount disappeared, inspect which transactions are assigned to the upcoming payment and which remain at an earlier status.
The practical sequence is:
- Locate the relevant transaction.
- Confirm that it is payable.
- Compare the payable balance with the selected threshold.
- Review the transactions assigned to the next payment.
- Check Payment History after the payment is processed.
Do not start with the original sale total. Returns, adjustments, validation decisions, and commission-group rules may change the final commission amount.
When Awin processes publisher payments
Awin processes publisher payments twice per month, on the 1st and 15th. Publishers can choose a monthly payment schedule instead and can track upcoming and previous payments within the platform.
When either payment date falls on a weekend, Awin says payment is issued on the next working day.
These dates refer to processing. They do not mean that every transaction recorded before the date will qualify for that cycle.
Commission must reach the correct status and satisfy the publisher’s selected threshold. Awin’s payment process is automated, but advertiser validation remains a required earlier step.
Count from the payment record. Do not count from the customer’s purchase date.
Payment Overview and Payment History serve different jobs
Awin’s Payment Report is divided into Overview and History. The report details payments received and breaks them down into self-billing invoices.
Use Overview to understand upcoming payment information. Use History to investigate a payment that Awin has already processed.
Awin’s missing-payment checklist gives the exact path:
Reports > Payment > History
The publisher should look for a self-billing invoice to determine whether the payment was processed.
No invoice usually means the investigation should move backward. Check commission status, threshold, payment schedule, and account details.
An invoice without a corresponding deposit is a transfer-tracing issue. At that point, the payment date and destination method matter.
Near real-time transaction notifications
Publishers with a technical reporting workflow can use Awin’s Transaction Notification feature. Awin describes it as a near real-time reporting option that sends a notification when a transaction is recorded. The notification can include transaction details for storage or reconciliation in another system.
This can help publishers detect tracking activity quickly, but it does not mean the transaction has been validated or approved.
Recorded is not approved.
Use notifications to confirm that Awin received the transaction. Continue using the platform’s transaction and payment statuses to determine whether commission will proceed toward payment.
For a smaller publisher, the standard Transactions report may be sufficient. Skip technical notification setup unless frequent transaction reconciliation justifies it.
A practical troubleshooting order
Work through the account in this sequence:
- Sign in through Awin’s platform.
- Confirm membership in the relevant advertiser program.
- Open Reports > Transactions.
- Find the order by advertiser, date, or order reference.
- Check whether it is pending, approved, or payable.
- Review the advertiser’s validation period.
- Compare the payable balance with the account threshold.
- Check the transactions assigned to the next payment.
- Open Reports > Payment > History after processing.
- Trace the transfer only when a self-billing invoice exists.
This avoids mixing a tracking issue with a validation delay or bank-transfer problem.
When contacting Awin, identify the account and the exact stage that appears inconsistent. Do not include login credentials, one-time codes, complete bank details, or customer payment information.
